someone on cc told me that most of my colleges are reaches. and this makes me very very nervous. (the other colleges i applied to are upenn, columbia, nyu, vassar and bc)

All of your colleges and universities are highly competitive regarding admissions. Columbia and Penn will be difficult, just as for most applicants to these schools. NYU is a likely admit. Vassar and Boston College are almost complete opposites with respect to campus cultures. The JROTC activity looks good on a Boston College application, but will appear as an oddity to the Vassar admissions office, in my opinion. You are competitive for Barnard statistically speaking, but weak on ECs. What do you intend to study? Why are you applying to Vassar? To Boston College?

i'm not really sure what i want to study yet. i visited vassar and i loved the atmosphere. i love music and i think it would really help me grow artisiticaly. i'm applying to boston because of the communications program. and vassar has a media studies program so i thought that was good too.
and i like the music program at barnard.
