Stats:

Asian male, immigrated from China in 1992, fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and partially fluent in the rural dialect spoken around my Dad's area (don't know English name)

GPA 4.0 out of 4.0, 1 of 295
School: Sent a few exceptionally bright students to high places, my friend goes to Yale currently and we had two more go to Columbia.
SAT:2250(680CR,770M,800W) - a little disparate, I guess I don't like the CR sections on the SAT.
SAT II: Math II 800, BioM 780, Physics 750 (sick that day, very surprised by score)
ACT: 33 (34E, 35M, 34R, 31S, 9 essay) - liked the reading section here better, no worries about missing 1.25 points per wrong answer.

AP Tests -
AP Calc, 3 (maybe a weak point...I was having a bad day)
AP Bi0, 4
AP Physics, 4
AP English Language and Composition 5

I've always been bad at testing stuff like this because my memory retention isn't quite as strong as I would like it to be - I do well in the class but when it comes down to crunch time, no go.

Recs: Good, I think

In an effort to assuage my impending fear of rejection, I just wanted to see what you guys think will happen at the end of this month.

Cheers, thanks!

Anyone? Please?

unfortunately, there's not a lot to help you stand out from the other 4.0, 2200+ kids applying.

so, i wish you the best of luck, but don't count on it.

You have good numbers, but ur EC's don't really stand out at all. However, your extensive work experience is pretty impressive. Waking up, going to school, working 4 hours, doing hw, and all the other EC's you do. Hopefully, you wrote a good essay on that to convey that message.

lol...you have an excuse behind every bad score...

anyway, good chances...but i'd be worried abou the SAT cr.

haha yeah... well sometimes I understand, sometimes I don't but it never seems to help me when it matters... The scores are definitely my weak point, I wonder if my 34 on the ACT CR will help balance it out? that was the one part I was worried about when i pressed submit.

The main focus of my E.C.s was Musical Theatre and Habitat for Humanity. Those are what I wrote about in my essays - the strong family tie and passion of theatre and the commitment to fulfilling a job well done at Habitat. What do you think?

anyone? Does my 34 CR on ACT help with the 680 CR on the SAT?

I think they will consider your Composite ACT, 33, which translates to about a 730 SAT, which is better than your CR. Harvard says it will consider your highest score, and does.
