chance me please

im applying to emory as a sophomore for the fall
Stats:
3.6 GPA, took 4 AP classes and 2 dual enrollment w/ CC
ACT 27 (I know it's bad)
EC's: eagle scout, boys state, nhs, captain of the football and tennis team. All-District in football and county player of the year in tennis my senior year. Played tennis 3 years and 4 of football. I was also Spanish Club President and president of my youth group lol.
College: 3.85 GPA at a small LAC in Virginia, I had 29 credit hours. Should have a GREAT letter of rec. my professor calls me brilliant- for whatever reason

Id like to major in American Studies and possibly religion/philosophy.
My main reasons for leaving: seeking a more academic environment and pursuing majors not offered at my school. Any thoughts? thanks!!

Always a chance. I had similar stats. same ACT and slightly lower GPA and had a lot of EC's too. I applied as a high school senior and was early decision. but just make sure you write good essays and get strong recommendations. I really feel that is what got me in because it sure wasn't my grades.

thanks alot, that is comforting. I struggled with the essays a little bit. I think my reasons for transferring were good, etc. but it just felt soooo short. Ill keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for the help
