i'm going to be a senior in the fall

i'll probably be majoring in either math or computer science. because of how competitive engineering schools are, i'm applying to all arts & sciences colleges, probably. so my major with probably math with a minor in computer science. or at some schools, my major might be "math and computer science", since many seem to offer that.

should have decent recommendation from my AP calc teacher, but i won't be reading it before he sends it, so i can't be sure
along with hopefully good guidance counselor rec, but again, you never know

essays-- no idea?!

chances? plus any scholarship chances?

do you think i should add a safety school or am i alright? i'd probably add depaul, in chicago. is that safety enough? i'm not sure i want to spend the money applying to yet another school though

thanks so much!!

UCLA - Reach (OOS)
northeastern - Low Match
boston u - Low Match
UCSD - Low Reach
u of florida - Match
george washington
american - Safety

i would add 1 or 2 more safeties. chance me in return?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/548705-let-s-put-smile-face-chancing-me.html

thanks so much :)
(what's george washington, though?)

should i take another off then, to add more safeties? everyone i know is applying to two or three schools.. i'd feel ridiculous with like eight or nine...

the recommended amount is around 6-7 schools. Personally I'm looking at applying to 9-10. Most kids apply 7-10 range. I know a few kids that applied to 2 schools and got into one and weren't happy. Apply to a nice variety. George Washington is a match. Your SAT is 80 points higher than the 75th percentile. So your in good shape for that school.

okay, thanks.

my group of friends is basically like... people going to community college and then people going to temple. they apply to one or two others, but you know, that's it. so i'm kinda alone.
but even our guidance counselors strongly advise against even more than five... so i doubt i'd go with more than seven. i'm not sure what i wanna cut out though. american's probably the one i'd least wanna go to, but at the same time, that's kind of a safety, so i don't want to cut out a safety in order to make room for another safety... and i DO like the school, it's only that it's not like, math-oriented at all. hmm.

Hello as of right now attending Quinnipiac University I completed my freshmen year and I am going into my sophomore year. In high school I had the opportunity to play college football and I decided not to play. I am now trying to transfer so that I can play football. Here is the list of schools that I am looking at to play football.

Dickinson

Franklin and Marshall

Hobart and William Smith

Gettysburg

Muhlenberg

Rochester university

ST. Lawrence university

As of right now I have a 3.0 and I am going to Quinnipiac in the spring to raise my gpa. I was wondering how much help I will get with admissions because I will be playing football, I also wanted to know how likely it would be for me to be admitted.
