Notes:
I received 2 D+'s in AP Calculus AB and AP English Language Composition my junior year, hence a drop in my GPA. The D+ in English was because I turned in a paper that my friend helped me with, which in turn is plagiarism, hence a day suspension on campus. Other than that I have or had perfect attendance. I'm not sure if I can clear that. I think you can?

I'm in the top 15% of my school and I will be an incoming senior. I have taken the most rigorous courses offered and will keep doing so next year. However, I will be retaking English to make up for the D+. I'm hoping a GPA of 5.00 or something close to that this year will hopefully raise my GPA and increase my admission chances.

I plan on majoring in Business Administration/Management and quite possibly something dealing with Computers.

Colleges of choice (Preferably a UC):
CalState Fullerton
UC San Diego
UC Irvine
And any suggestions that board members have

As you can see I am not the best student. Please be honest with me. What are my chances of enrolling in these colleges? I'm also a California resident , which I believe helps with the college admission.

Your overall GPA is good, but your scores on your APs and your two Ds will not impress the admin committees. Your SAT score is borderline for UC Irvine, too low for UC San Diego, and good for Cal State Fullerton.

Right now, I’d say you are:

UC San Diego–reach
UC Irvine–slight reach
Cal State Fullerton–match

If I were you, I’d be trying to get into UC Irvine since they have a new business administration program that starts this year. Also, you might consider applying to UC Riverside, which also has a pretty good business administration program, and is easier than UC Irvine to get into.

Lastly, if you get into Cal State Fullerton, but not UC Irvine, you can always look to transfer after a year or two. If you do well with your grades in your senior year, that will make it much easier to transfer during your first year (meaning you would transfer to UC Irvine and start taking classes there at the start of your sophomore year of college).

Good luck.
