what's your GPA

with those SAT scores (or even close to those SAT scores), you aren't getting in

ohh and as for my gpa, my school doesnt give them out yet, but my grades so far are around 95, unweighted

ive been doing some research, us news ranking, and other sites and i compiled my list of schools i wanted

NYU-stern
UM ann arbor- ross
UV-darden
BC
BU

then i looked them up in a book to check out their stats,
my guidance counselor told me if my scores fall within the SAT score range, it would be a middle/reach school
my scores fell below the 50% but i still had some confidence in getting into some of these schools since they're all around 1800-2100 for middle 50%
and if i cud score a 2000 id be ok
but after seeing this website im not too sure anymore :x

alright realistically

sorry to break it to you but NYU Stern is not happening with your current SAT even if you improve it to 2000 it won't happen

U of M Ann Arbor I would say you have a good chance if you get your SAT up to about a 2000, but with your current score you are going to need some luck and hope that your parents have connections/you have a hook

UV-Darden you have an outside chance need to apply early

BU I would say you are for sure in, I would be shocked if you didn't get into BU

and BC I would say you have a really good chance to get into BC

Can you give us more details about your grades. What classes did you take your Sophomore and Junior years and what were your grades like in each of those classes?

As it stands, I would have to say that BC, Michigan (LSA), NYU (Stern) and UVa (A&S) are all reaches. Your 1170 score in the SAT Math and CR is low by their standards. Most of those schools have mid 50% SAT ranges of 1200-1400. By the way, Darden is UVa's MBA program. UVa's BBA program is called McIntire.

And since you will be applying to Stern directly, their mid 50% SAT range is more like 1300-1400.

BU would be a match.

You really should think of some safeties and more matches. Schools like Babson, Bently, Indiana (Kelley) etc...

i appreciate all the feedback, everyone thank you
for my school, basically they require u to take honors before AP, so my early years were basically spent doing all honors courses
10th grade i did AP World, a 2 year course that i completed in one year, scored a 3 on it, wont get me anything but yea..
11th i did AP US, horrible teacher honestly(everyone agrees with me) i got a 2 on that, dont criticize me i know its bad, haha
this is my schedule for 12th
AP Gov
AP stats
AP Calc BC
PublicSpeaking/Health
AP Lit n Comp
College Spanish (syracuse)
AP Chemistry
AP chem/gym
HS orchestra
my grades have been, for the most part steady, 94-96
i got like an unofficial copy of my transcript and the cum. gpa up to 12th was 94.75
as for the safeties, ive been looking through several rankings on website + the princeton 366 best colleges book, im not sure which ones to choose? cause my parents really stress the top 25 at LEAST
University Rochester was listed as 25th on USnewsrankings so im considering that, but if anyone could give me some good suggestions, id really appreciate that
majoring in business

how do u get to take so many classes in your senior year. I thought Ap classes are suppose to be full year.

umm, its a 9 period day soo... yea...
i cudve taken another AP if i eliminated orchestra but i wanted to keep doing music, it'd look bad if i did it since like 5th grade and dropped it 12th. heh

If you can improve your SAT Math by 50 points and your SAT CR by 100 points, Michigan becomes a match. As it stands, it is a realistic reach.

bump...
id like feedback from several people for chances into this school as well as the others listed, so that its not jus coming from a few people who have similar or different opinions
and thx alexandre, u mean improve the points from my current sats? so math-700 cr-620 and wr-560?
or from my projected scores in oct, increase by that many points

Yes, given your A average and challenging course work, a 700+ on the verbal and 600+ on the CR and Writing sections will turn Michigan into a match for you.
