Chance me please?

<p>How will I fair for Columbia admissions? I posted this over at What Are My Chances but I figured it would get more responses here.</p>

<p>INTENDED MAJOR: Theatre Arts</p>

<p>WEIGHTED GPA: 4.71</p>

<p>UNWEIGHTED GPA: 3.96</p>

<p>AP COURSES: Calculus AB/BC (5), Psychology (5), European History (3), will be taking Lang/Comp at the end of this year</p>

<p>CLASS RANK: 2 out of 385 (weighted), 12/385 unweighted</p>

<p>SAT: 2250/2400 (Critical: 710, Math: 750, Writing: 790)
haven't taking SAT subject tests yet.</p>

<p>ECs:
-Book Club (president, 9th-12th grade)
-Drama Club (member, 9th-12th grade)
-Mock Trial (co-president, 11th-12th grade) *won All-Star lawyer
-Model UN (co-president, 11th-12th grade)
-MTF Community Theatre (performer, 8th-12th grade) *won scholarship
-Young Professionals Theatre Company (sr company member, 11th-12th grade)
-Student director for a middle school (11th-12th grade)
-Show Choir (10th and 12th grades)</p>

<p>HONORS: National Honor Society (11th-12th grade), Honor Roll (all years of HS), MD Distinguised Scholar for the Arts Honorable Mention, MD Distinguished Scholar for Academics Honorable Mention, AP Scholar</p>

<p>ESSAYS: Wrote about the haven that is my journal.</p>

<p>same as many of the other people (the ones who have posted their stats) who are applying. Nothing distinguishing. Essay and teachers recs will be very important.</p>

<p>Your numbers are outstanding. Since you are applying to theatre arts, your primary hurdle is to write a convincing application as to "Why theatre arts?" & "Why Columbia's theatre arts?" & to have demonstrated interest & accomplishments in theatre arts in your resume/application.
You may also want to consider Northwestern University's School of Communications theatre major which also does not require an audition. I believe that NYU's Tisch School does, however, require auditions for theatre/acting majors.</p>
