I would appreciate any help you can offer.</p>

<p>I wouldn't attempt to chance someone but my son had five counselors in five years (some kids start here in the 8th grade) at a similiar type of high school as yours. Didn't see any of his recommendations but the counselor rec must have been okay as he is a Pomona freshman. I think those in admissions realize the differences in how much time conselors have with their students and that they might not know each of their charges well if at all. Good luck in your college quest.</p>

<p>Chances seem reasonable; probably strengthened if you embellish on the things that set you apart: Founding your own business, thousands of hours of work experience, time at camp, make sure not to sell yourself short on these points.</p>
