<p>i tutor kids in hebrew school ages 10-13</p>
<p>i volunteer for ACS, a childcare center, and my local hospital. i have also been captain of my relay for life team for the past three years. i also volunteered for the Obama campaign.</p>

<p>You are probably right. I guess I got caught up in the chance me stuff by reading
so much on CC. Also, I've started visiting schools and want to make sure I'm on the
right track and not wasting time and my parents' money.</p>

don't let yourself get too caught up in these chances threads -- they really can't tell you much -- look at a school's official stats, be realistic and have safeties where you'd be happy. </p>
<p>the best advise if you are really interested in brandeis -- VISIT -- they seem to value demonstration of real interest. try to interview -- it'll give you the best chance to talk one on one with an admission's officer. i know when my child applied, it wasn't always easy to schedule an on campus interview -- keep checking the website early and often when its your year to do so.</p>
<p>You can also schedule an off-campus interview near your home with a local member of the Alumni Admissions Council. Brandeis gives equal weight in the admission process to both on and off campus interviews.</p>
