Chance me PLEASE!

I am totally freaked out about getting into a UC. Here's my story-

Fall 2007, I entered Purdue University - Krannert School of Management.
-During my first semester, I got a 3.4 in the 15 units I took.

But just after my first semster, I had to transfer to California, into any school I could (not CC) as I had a family emergency. My mom fell sick and I had to move back to take care of her. her recovery took a whole semester. I transfered to Univeristy of San Francisco Spring 2008, same place where I am currently enrolled.

I could not live on campus, but had to commute 3 hours a day to and from school, so I could take care of my mom. I got a 3.44 my Spring semester, leaving me a 3.44 transfer GPA when I applied to UC for admission for Fall 09.

Here are my stats.

During application-
-Transfer GPA 3.44
-# of Units completed 30 (I had to drop out of an elective, 2 credit class for time conflict, with a W. It was a computer science elective)
-# in progess 16
-# planned 16
-2 jobs during school, working an average of 20-30 hours a week
-volunteering at 3 places, including an elemetary school basketball team
-awards/accomplishments
-I think I wrote a above average personal statement.
-Wrote my transfer reason from previous school in other info - and my wish to challenge myself

Update-
-Fall 08 GPA, 3.82
-New Transfer GPA - 3.63
-Units completed 46
-Units planned 16
-Completed all pre-reqs for major, as well as UC requirements

I have applied to UCB, UCLA, UCSB and UCI.

I have all pre reqs completed for all schools, inlcuding major requirements. Do you think I have a chance for them???

Thanks so much for any feedback!! I really would like to know!

In at UCSB and UCI.. Very decent shot at LA and Cal

It really depends what major you're applying for to have your chances to be more accurate so may you please state your major?

How much harder is it for someone like the OP who is in-state, but not attending a CC to transfer?

I know it's harder, but I've never read any statistics on quantifying how much harder.

Well the bottom line is, UC's give first priority to CC transfers than any other.

The admit rate to UCLA from USF last year was 7%

UCLA Undergrad Admissions: Profile of Transfers from CA Non-UC Non-Cmty Coll - 08 Fall

Majors

UCLA - Business Econ
UCB - Business Admin
UCSB - Business Econ
UCI - Business Admin, 2nd choice IS

i know UC's don't give private university students taht much consideration, but i know private from california are given more over private from out of california.. is that true?
