I was planning on applying to Pepperdine, but I didn't get around to it. Now with the extended deadline I am going to for sure. I want to go pre-med.

I know it is nothing special, but do you think I can get in?
Does Pepperdine offer merit scholarships?

You should get in without a problem. They do give merit scholarships, and your ACT is in the ballpark, but your GPA might be a bit low for a scholarship.

My D had a 4.0 UW, class rank of 1/515, and a 31 ACT and did not get a scholarship. That was two years ago, and it's different every year. Even if you do get a merit scholarship, unless you have a low EFC, you will pay a lot for Pepperdine. Especially when you factor in transportation. If you can do Pepperdine without loans, I'd go for it. It's beautiful there. Since you know you are going on to medical school, I would do undergrad where I would aquire the smallest amount of debt.

Did your daughter end up attending Pepperdine? If so, does she like it?

I can manage the cost without loans, and the three schools I have to choose from are in relatively the same price range. Pepperdine, Tulane, and Vanderbilt.
