If you need any more information, I would gladly provide it.

SAT II: 810? that’s reason why you “never test well”
how about your essay? I figured that those above figures are not as important as your essay – it’s about how you sell yourself. I heard a lot applicant almost got perfect score, but they didn’t got in. The only reason I can think of is essay.

my essay was about me becoming more focused on work as a result of learning to deal with challenges and unexpected requirements that happen at my school. I left out a very important part of me missing 6 months of school because of surgery that disabled me from walking…but one of my teachers mentioned me having surgery in his letter stating that
even though i had to overcome some physical difficulty in the last year, i maintained honor status during my entire stay at school. Although I am not that confident in my essay, I think my recommendation letters make up for any detail that i may have forgotten. All of my letters go along the lines of listing that I am very unique, self motivated, intelligent, talented and very focused. They also list qualities like I work well with the staff, get along very well with my peers and that i have the aptitude, sincerity and focus that produces leadership.

I hope this helped

Sorry, but I find you uncompetitive.

1240 on the SAT? That already buts you in the bottom .5% of the pile. That coupled with a 3.3 GPA? no shot. and your school rank is not even in the top 10%

sorry

thanks for your honesty

look at other schools, because Columbia is out, I would be shocked if they accepted you. Columbia is still an academic institution, so academic performance is still the most important factor.

i felt very awkward reading this thread. twas kinda like telling a young child that there is no such thing as Santa Claus. ouch.

SAT is 1240? Please tell me you left out your CR score when you posted this…

if not, I’d say no chance, even though you’re obviously an accomplished figure skater :(

810? How is that possible?
