I was just wondering if you could pass your wisdom on to me, a soon to be senior, embarking on the exciting admissions process. My college list so far is:

I know everyone can receive awards or titles of various chapters/societies/clubs, but for me... I just really love learning.I know this may sound corny but there is nothing more exciting than arguing the basis for a current politic policies in Gov't, or presidential doctrines in U.S, or finally solving the 2-pages-of-work integral in Calc, or testing the effects of UV radiation on fungi in Bio (the list can continue). My main passions and interests are politics, law, and advocacy. But if you have any advice, I will GLADLY accept it! Thank you for your time...reading all this empirical data.

I don’t think your SAT’s are good enough for those schools, although your EC’s are impressive. Take tutoring and bring up the SAT’s— I know that 1-5 and 7 would most likely not accept you on the basis of SAT’s-- though your GPA is pretty decent.

Princeton–no

Harvard–no

Yale–no
4.Georgetown–no

Dartmouth–no

UVA–no

Boston College–no

UGA (hopefully the Honors Program)–no

Come on, you have to think realistically! Sure, SAT ISN’T everything, but for those schools (besides UGA), you really have to get >2000 on the SAT to be considered. And UGA, your scores are at the low end of the spectrum, but honors, your scores are not in the range =/
