Chance me please? :)

Hi :D I'm a rising senior at one of the top NYC public schools

My weighted average is 87.78, unsure of unweighted, they don't tell us.

SATs
CR 640 M 670 W 700 = 1310/2010
USH 650, LIT 630
I plan on taking Math 1 & 2 in the fall

Taking ACT in the fall as well.

As for my classes..
Honors english sophomore year
APUSH, AP ENG LANG and AP US GOVT junior year
AP ENG LIT, AP COMP GOVT and maybe AP STAT senior year
I'll have 4+ years of social studies, 4 years of english, science, and maybe math depending on if I get into the AP STAT class (they cut the regular 4th year math class due to budget cuts), 3 years of language

Also, I'm currently taking a college psychology class

ECs
I've done cheerleading since my freshman year, and I've been captain since junior year
Senior Class Coordinator of SADD, joined junior year
Key Club junior year
By the end of the summer I should have around 100 community service hours from various places, including a trip to New Orleans
I interned with a judge last summer, and he wrote me an AMAZING rec letter
I just got a job working at the front desk of NYSC, and I've been babysitting for years
I taught for a day at an underprivileged elementary school

So.. what are my chances for these schools?
SUNY Binghamton
SUNY Buffalo
SUNY Albany
Northeastern
U Delaware
U Maryland College Park
U Miami
Michigan State
U Michigan Ann Arbor
Cornell
Penn State U Park
Syracuse

Thanks :)

i need help please please bump

hmm, your SAT’s are good, esp. for the public universities.

However, your GPA is your weak spot. Try to boost that as much as you can your senior year. Your ec’s are also good. You should be fine for the public univ.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/743416-im-sooo-nervous-please-chance-me.html

thanks! I know my gpa is a little weak, but its been on an upward trend since freshman year (it was an 81 back then) if that counts for anything? my school grades pretty toughly, and is known among college admissions offices.

I would really just be happy with binghamton. is that one of the public universities you’re talking about?

bumpp…

anyone else have any advice? =/

EDIT: Remove Penn State and Michigan State, add Wake Forest. Good or bad idea?

BUMP backtolife

I think you can definitely get into all those schools. Perhaps you want to apply to some other schools as well. It seems that all the schools you listed are pretty much match, if you get a higher SAT score, let’s say 2200+ you have decent chances at the top 30 schools!

Even U Michigan and Cornell? I thought those would definitely be reaches

SUNY Binghamton - safety/match
SUNY Buffalo - safety/match
SUNY Albany - safety/match
Northeastern - match
U Delaware - match
U Maryland College Park - safety/match
U Miami - dont know
Michigan State - dont know
U Michigan Ann Arbor - highmatch/reach
Cornell - high reach
Penn State U Park - dont know
Syracuse - dont know

Also, I left out one thing that I’m a little worried about. I have one 65 on my transcript, from geometry sophomore year. It that gonna **** me up? =/
