You definitely have a very good chance. Another good thing to do would be to contact one of the admissions officers and show them you’re very interested. If you go to [Lehigh University: Undergraduate Admissions: Contact Admissions](Contact Us & Find Your Admissions Counselor | Lehigh University) , you can find the admissions person for your part of the country. That will be the person most likely interviewing you, reading your application, and deciding whether or not you are accepted; so you can talk directly to them.

Set up an interview in advance of your visit.

Someone posted here that Lehigh was not doing interviews, but I know that four years ago, they were. I know someone who got into Lehigh with much less impressive credentials primarily because he really wanted to go there, and it showed. His essays also must have been amazing.

do you think it would increase my chances if i applied ed and also if i was to email my admissions officer what kind of thing would i say? just show my interest or ask a question…?

ED would definitely help. That’s showing extreme interest – so much that you promise to attend if they accept you. If you know Lehigh is your favorite school, go for it.

Showing interest means arriving on campus, registering for a tour and info session, scheduling an interview in advance with an admissions officer. Some students make two official trips, but I don’t think that’s necessary.

According to an admissions officer, Lehigh has stats that shows that students who have visited the campus are more likely to matriculate if accepted. Those who never visit but who live within 90 miles are the least likely to matriculate.
