Why are you in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes if you aren’t an athlete?

What is a Black History Month Award?

How do you expect us to chance you when we don’t know your SAT scores?

Fellowship of Christian Athletes doesn’t require you to actually be an athlete.

Black History Month Award (typo) –> It was an essay award I had won.

SAT I: 1890 out of 2400 (taking them again in November!)

Yeah… You definitely need to raise them… Don’t get me wrong, 1890 is around the 87th percentile for those taking the tests, but it’s too low for elite schools. You’re a URM, aim for around 2200.

Don’t aim lower just because you are an URM. That being said it seems unlikely that you can make the 200+ point improvement that you need to be competitive. Right now I think your chance of being admitted is low but not terribly low.

Need to show passion? I show passion in my writing! I self-published a novel when I was in the tenth grade and I am currently working on my third! And furthermore, I am doing the Princeton Arts supplement. I think that can validate my passion just a bit, lol. So should I even apply at all?

LOL thank you, JamesChang. I mean, I wasn’t going to rely on my URM status and I know my scores aren’t as good as a whole slew of people. However, I thought that maybe I would seem competitive in a sense that I am well-rounded because I do involve myself in activities and I like to write… a lot :-)

Wow, quite professional. But the achievements won’t truly shine if it’s viable through money. I understand that you are passionate (and I think you are, I also looked at the your book on Amazon) but it isn’t too hard to go to a publisher and make a contract unless the content is terrible. Do you have some impressive statistics on sales, such as having sold 10,000 books already or something like that? You said you did interviews with newspapers. Such as? Did you end up appearing on the newspapers?

Do you still get around 1890 right now or have your improved?

I just want to mention that I think your time would be better spent working on your essays than worrying about chances. Trust me, your life will be so much less stressful if you don’t worry about your chances.
