Chance Me, Please

Hey guys, I am an OOS looking to go to UF to study Bacteriology. I am from Memphis, TN.

Stats:

-3.72 GPA
-Top 20% of a Private HS in Memphis
-APWH - 3
-Class Officer
-Member of Latin Club, Student Ambassador, Science Club, Writing Club
-Latin Club Officer
-Member of NJCL (National Latin Honor Society)
-Possible Member of NHS
-26 ACT (Taking SAT saturday)
-8 Honors Classes

Not the best stats but is there a possibility?

Thanks!

honestly, i think the chances are very slim for you. as far as i can tell you barely have enough AP classes and a mediocre ACT score. your gpa is good though! I say still apply but just be aware that the act does not meet the 50% and you’re an OOS student so it’ll be really really hard.

good luck!

One thing people have to understand about UF is that pretty much any applicant (and I mean almost ANY) has a good a shot as any other applicant (OOS or not). I have seen VERY bright kids from many high schools get rejected. It is a wild card.

Everyone has a shot. Some have a better shot, but it has come to the point that you cannot say someone has no shot of getting in.
