What are my chances of getting in with a 3.77 out of 4.5 GPA. I'm an OOS. I got a 1940 on the SAT and a 30 on the ACT.

This is my dream school. I want to go here so badly. GO BLUE!

BTW: Does Michigan "superscore" the SAT?

No they don’t super score. Slight reach, your GPA is kinda low :(

Well what is your GPA on Michigan’s scale? 30 ACT is good. It all depends on your Michigan GPA. Calculate your core courses: Language, Science, Math, English, Social Studies/Social Sciences, Computer Science. When using the letter grade only use A, B, C, D, F. No minuses or pluses.

i know that gpa is a big factor in every college’s decision to accept you, but is gpa really really important on michigan’s list? what else do they look at very importantly?

^ GPA along with course rigor is the most important part I think, and test scores are up there too.

well i took a ****load of hard ap classes such as ap bio, eng, and physics, and this is my gpa as a result. what wud michigan make of that?

^ i think you will get in. Umich is your first choice. the acceptance rate is like 48%.

Most people who get accepted have taken hard courses though. I remember last year, OOS students with great stats were getting deferred. Have you applied yet?

Yea my GPA was 4.0 out of 5.0. My regular HS GPA was a 3.3 UW and my W was a 4.0 because I took a demanding course load. I think you should be fine. Rigor is very important to Michigan. I know students here that have taken a lot of challenging courses in high school and are reaping the benefits, even though their HS GPA wasn’t that high. Similarly there are students here who had very high GPA’s , but weak course load that are struggling. If your test scores are good or above average, apply before November 1 and your chances will get better.
