How do I look?
I am applying as a Biomedical Engineering major here (back up is Materials Engineering, which I heard is the easiest engineering major to get into at LA)

Had a slightly higher GPA (4.36) and marginally better SATs - got in c/o 2010 graduating end of this school year with my degree in BioE. I feel that things may have been getting tougher, and BioE is definitely one of the more selective majors, but you’ll have a shot. They aren’t really expanding the department because we’re about at capacity right now.

deuces: thanks for the feedback. from what i’ve been hearing, i hear that it getting extremely competitive to get in these days. is material science considered impacted?

my mom dropped out of college and my dad has some college as well…
I actually decided to apply as a Materials Engineering major, which has a 65% acceptance rate.

ECs eh? 4 Years of Boy Scouts, 6 Years of tae Kwon Do, 5 years of library volunteering, 5-6 years of temple volunteering, 3 years of science olympiad, 2-3 years of student class council (need not be elected…just go and share ideas for improving school), and 2 years math tutoring club

I took 7 APs my sophomore and junior years; out of the 24 courses (each semester has 6) I got 9 Bs and 15 As. My unweighted comes to about a 3.63
