Chance me please?

I'm a Korean-American student from the New England area.

Maybe I'm acting paranoid, but I feel like my EC's are lacking... please let me know what you think!

How do you have a 4.06 unweighted gpa? it’s on a 4.0 scale…

Our school doesn’t weight for APs/honors courses, but if you have an A+ in a class [like I do], your GPA can be higher than a 4.0

You do need Sat IIs for admission.
2 of them, in fact.

As far as Wellesley goes, they wish one to be quantative (math, science, ect.) and another of your choice.

You don’t need SAT IIs if you submit the ACT with writing, if I am not mistaken. My daughter is a freshman at Wellesley and did not take the SAT at all (we are from the midwest).

college_query’s right. I’ve talked with an admissions rep from Wellesley, and she said that as long as I have my ACT with Writing, I can also submit my SAT score, even if I don’t have SAT II’s, and they’ll consider it.

I am responding to your original question. Your gpa, scores and ranking are strong. Your extracurricular activities are fine; they do not necessarily stand out compared to your gpa, scores and ranking, but they are still good ECs. Furthermore, you have been consistently involved in these activities, instead of jumping from EC to EC, or overcommitting yourself. Quality is more important than quantity. You take your academics seriously, as noted with your awards, and this is an important factor to keep in mind. I think you have a shot at being admitted.

Thanks so much for answering my original question! Anyone else?

I agree with sunshine2. You have good scores, ecs, etc. You will have to do well on your essays and show who you really are in order to stand out from everyone else. Overall, you seem to be a competitive applicant. Good luck.
