I’d say you’re in for sure, with those scores and GPA. Also, to reiterate, APs are not accounted for admission to UC.

You’re good.

In fact your stats are light years better than what I had.

No idea how you’re taking all of those classes. Good luck though

anyways, your senior schedule is pretty godly, but that effort doesn’t seem to show as much in your GPA and SAT scores. For a school with stricter admissions, this might be a problem, but in the case of UCR I’d say that you still have a strong chance. (in fact I wouldn’t worry at all. My GPA unweighted was 3.0 :P)

You still have pretty good chances in other universities as well, though, because your stats are solid, just not what I’d expect from someone who takes 6 AP classes senior year (I’d rather take 6 AP tests, instead of 6 AP classes . much much easier)

Anyways, no worries about your AP scores as those aren’t taken into account during admissions. Although it kinda sucks not to get college credit for one of them -US history, as you passed world history and psych, and they only give you elective credit for chemistry ( you don’t have to take psych or world history classes in college anymore, at least for UCR)

Your extracurriculars are uber strong, make sure to include them in your app essay - this is a big bonus for private university admissions, as some tend to take extracurriculars into more account

And finally, in regard to SAT scores, make sure you put a lot of effort into studying, as you have a pretty high goal. It took me 2+ years to get to a 2260, and that was starting from an 1860 in fresh year

wow i love your feedback! Thank you Can you tell me which other UCS I have a decent chance of getting in? And how high is my reaches for the harder ucs? Thanks super much :)

I think you have a good shot at SC and your a shoe in for Merced, other than that, you’re a reach for the other schools.

You do have to take certain breadth requirements in college. Your AP Psychology score can count for your 1 required course in “Psychology/Anthropology/Sociology” and your AP World History score can clear your 1 required “World History” requirement. Try to pass the AP classes you’re taking now so that you could get at least elective/breadth credits for them, and keep up your GPA.

I’d say you may be able to get into SB as well, but you have a good shot at Riverside, Merced and Santa Cruz.

Yeah I would just like to add that if you do plan on retaking the SAT and/or ACT and happen to get a pretty high score, like in the 90th percentile or higher, you’ll have a decent shot at one of the mid-tier UCs.

btw, the humanities/arts AP credits are worth more than science AP’s in the UC system, because you get to skip humanities/arts classes with them. You can’t with science AP credit.

and skipping classes is really cool
