<p>What do you guys think my chances are for Bates and Bowdoin?</p>

<p>My GPA- 3.6 unweighted
SAT I- 640CR 630M 700W
SAT II- going to do literature and Spanish reading in January, i suspect I can get a full 800 in Spanish :)
Doing the IB diploma
Extracurriculars- Music Club Community Service- Orphanage, nursing home, after school mandarin teaching aid, school crossing guard
I'm Hispanic, and I have american, german and bolivian citizenship. I currently live in Bolivia.</p>

<p>I really want to get into one of these two colleges :(</p>

<p>Well, your chances aren’t fantastic, but not nonexistant. Both Bates and Bowdoin are test-optional schools; check their websites for more information. If you could pull three really strong SAT II scores, and not just two, that would boost your chances a lot, especially if you hid your SAT I scores. Besides that, make sure that you emphasize your passion(s) in your essays, and good luck.</p>
