essay: pretty good. teacher liked it. about how i broke a cultural barrier when my family allowed me (Indian girl ) to play sports.

my school has nearly 1200 kids, rarely sends anyone to ivies

Moderate Chance- I suggest you sign up for the January SATs to boost your scores a little higher. They’re on the low side, and since your school doesn’t send kids to ivies often, they probably don’t know it too well. Usually schools that don’t know your high school too well will take SAT scores into higher account. Your ECs/Awards though are very strong, and valedictorian definitely counts for something.

thank you very much for your honesty. I know my SATs are rather low even though its the second highest in my school, but unfortunately, i dont believe that columbia accepts SAT scores after their deadline. I’ll check into it though.

oh wait they do take the January SATs… thank you

reach…all i gotta say

Yeah, probably a reach. You are clearly qualified, but nothing really stands out. Your SATs are probably the biggest weakness, so hopefully they’ll improve if you take them again. Also, essays are very important for borderline candidates like you, so I hope they’re not generic.

thanks for the chance… yes my SATs are the hugest problem… hopefully they will be better nxt time around… anyone else wanna chance me??

yeah it seems like u have the same problem as me. asian with typical EC. and yes, i do agree with people above about SAT. u should bring them up, esp. critical reading. other than that, with good essay and luck, u have a solid shot.
