28 ACT
8/240 in class (well within top 10)
white male

I am no expert, but I think that if you are in the 10% of your class you are obviously working hard and are on the right track. The only thing that I would suggest is throwing some of your focus into extra curricular, and other activities that you are interested in.
good luck!

I think you’d need to write a lot more about yourself before being chanced- extra cirriculars are of great importance!

Top 10? I’m sorry, but Harvard is not a “top 10” school - if you’re not within the top 5 why even bother applying, especially with such a weak ACT score?

I’m in your boat. Similar test scores, ranking, and I’m white as well. The exception is that I am a varsity athlete, I am the Vice President of my student body and CSF chapter, I mentor high-risk children in my community, as well as basing my personal statement on how I ran from the FBI for two years of my life while attending school.
Just some context for you to compare yourself. But the thing is, I’m not even close to being confident about applying.
