Projects I worked on or am working on:

FanGlaze.com - Founder
A website that I created on the concept on “fan clubs” called fanglaze.com. In fanglaze.com, I created an environment for users to log-in and become fans of anything they liked. The project launched in November 2009 and is currently being underway. Since I did not quite posses the programming skills yet to create the site from scratch, I utilized a Content Management System called Dolphin from Boonex. The project was shut down January 2010 and will re-open later in the year.

WaterWorks2011:
This is a group project in which students have to work together and meet an actual deadline. We worked on an area on the WaterWorks2011 project in Ft. Lauderdale and we had to get together and resemble an actual company quoting for the project. We were judged based on our quote, a commercial, a website, a brochure and our presentation.

HP Grant Project (current):
The objective of this project is to work together as engineers to find, implement, and test a system that makes cars reduce emission of harmful gases and increase mileage. Currently we work on the GAS4FREE system that involves using hydrogen to achieve our goal.

Here are the computer languages/programs I have learnt/worked with or am learning so far:

Got accepted into:
USF
FIU
FAU
UWF

Pending:
UF

Chance:
NYU
Columbia
UF

Also, I would like you to please recommend me to colleges in NYC and chance me for them too.

Parents earn about 65,000+ a year so also tell me how much I will have to pay.

Mom is a RN (Nurse) and Dad is a Monitor Technician.

Now, furthermore, could you also please answer this question based on factual information: I currently plan to attend USF, but is it a good choice for computer science? Do not judge the school because of the overall reputation but rather the Computer Science Department.

Thank You

NYU - high reach
UF - high reach
columbia - no

Eh, Columbia doesn’t look good for you…

for NY schools, try researching the SUNYs (state schools)

Well, your SAT is higher than your ACT. Your SAT is equivalent to an ACT 24. That’s ok, make sure your colleges have your SAT.

Chance:

NYU - not unless you’re a full pay. If they let you in, you’ll get a horrible FA pkg.

Columbia - no

UF - are you a resident green card? This is still iffy.

Got accepted into:
USF
FIU
FAU
UWF

Do you qualify for Bright Futures?

Ok there is a change of plans. I now want to go to a community college in L.A. Ok let me explain a bit.

I have always wanted to go to UC-Berkeley or UCLA but I am not competitive. Now my plan is to attend a community college in L.A or California which has a high acceptance rate to these schools. Could you please recommend me some top-community colleges in california that have high acceptance rates to these universities.

P.S: I prefer UC-Berkeley over UCLA but UCLA is good too.

Thank You for your replies.

Also, will me being a Florida resident affect my admission into the UCs two years later?

I don’t really think there’s any such thing as a ‘good community college’…they all accept you whether or not you have a diploma. And applying to a CSU or UC would be out of the question for you since OOS applicants have to have much higher stats than you do.

ok thanks, can you please recommend me some community colleges in the Los Angeles area?
