Hello,I'm an instate applicant coming from a public school.

Here are my info.

-3.4 UC gpa
-27 ACT(28E/28M/25R/26S/24E+W
-540 math II SAT II
-560 Us History SAT II
-300 community service hours
-job for 2 years 20 hours/week
-editor in yearbook

-As a biology major.

Obviously, I'm not so good at subject tests and my gpa sucks. What are my chances for UCR? This is on my top 3 as it has a strong science foundation with a medical school opening up in 2012.

Um. Yeah. Because ,my gpa is only a 3.4, I have no chance at the other UC’s other than UC Merced. I applied to some Cal States(Cal Poly’s,csulb, csuf) but cal poly slo is competitive too. lol

i got in with ur GPA just yesterday for Pre-Business, although my SAT score was a 2120 and my SAT II were higher :(. U prob are gonna get in though

socal, hope you will get in. you have the GPA and the SAT scores they want. don’t worry.

i remember you were in the Cal Poly section when everyone was stressing out over early decision haha. i applied ED and i did not make the cut… its still my first choice. well good luck to you and i wish both of us will get in. haha!

lol I had the bare minimum GPA unweighted - 3.0, and I got in

(I was like, 0.1 percent away from getting a D in Physics AP senior year, which would’ve lowered my GPA and made me too low for any UC- min GPA is 3.0, at least for my graduating year)

although, I got a chancellor’s scholarship because of my 2260 SAT :D
