<p>Class rank: 6/422, UW GPA (this is the number my school sends to colleges)
9/422, W GPA
School: Public, Baltimore MD</p>
<p>Essay: Wrote about difficulty of growing up in poor financial circumstances, how it helped me define my values as a Muslim, person, and developed my motivation to succeed (~800 words)</p>
<p>Also wrote another essay about identity struggle as an Arab/Muslim American growing up in US, dealing with 9/11 and prejudice, becoming understanding and fair-minded (~500 words)</p>
<p>Other smaller essays, either college-specific or about goals. Focused for goals on love of biology and aspirations of going into medicine. (~250-500 words)</p>

<p>Will my mid-year grades be counted as part of my GPA? If so, does anyone know if the number of credits per class affects the MYR grades(eg, 2 or .5)?</p>
<p>Do schools see 1st semester quarter grades, or just MYR? If so, will a C in English 2nd quarter hurt my chances greatly?</p>
