Chance Me Please

I am a white female from Northern Virginia but go to a private school in Washington DC

We don't have GPA at my school but it would be about at 3.2
SAT combined 1900
ACT 29, 34 in reading though

9 varsity letters, captain on two different teams
on state winning soccer team for 9 years
community service, 60 hours
babysit
worked at a summer camp
member of an a cappella group/chorus
other ECs

my essays were both very unique and gave a strong voice.

please let me know thanks :)

CU has a formula, you can find it on the website. If your GPA is under a threshold (3.5 I believe), then your ACT/SAT has to be higher than a 28. I think you have a pretty good shot. Being OOS might help, as like many public universities, CU probably values the higher out of state tuitions a bit more these days! good luck.

Which school would you be applying to?
Liberal Arts I’d say you have a high chance (because my grades were almost the exact same and I got in).

CU goes by the formula first and the ECs/essays second. If it is high on your list it is worth getting in touch with the regional admissions officer, communicating your interest, and alerting them to your substantial supporting material. They are there to help you.

As the others have said, your higher ACT score will help you, as your gpa is below the admitted average for freshmen. I think you stand a good chance.

Good luck!!!

I got in! thanks so much for the replies

Congratulations!!! :)
