Chance me please?

I am a current Community college student, trying to transfer to UCLA or Berkeley. The following is my stats:

Major: Berkeley(Econ), LA(Biz Econ), SB(Econ and accounting), Davis( Managerial Econ)
Transferable GPA: 3.9 when applied, 3.87 including the fall semester
EC: not much.. this is a disappointing thing.. cashier in a restaurant, volunteer in Slavation army, a memeber of few club
Essay: 7/10, Edit by my cousin who attend to UCLA, my English teacher..
TAG: Tag with Davis
Prereqs: Done by spring (taking MacroEcon and Stats, doing great on both classes)
IGETC: Complete by spring as well

So what is my chances of get into UCB and UCLA, i really hope that i can get in UCLA because LA's Biz Econ seems to be more practical than the Econ major in UCB. Plus i live in the Bay area which close to Berkeley and dont really like here. And i m looking forward to devote myself into an accountant career or Economic analysis.. so what is my chances, any comment will be great. thank you

you are pretty much in all of them. Great GPA and you got your prereqs done…and even though you lack ECs, it’s better to list down a few things you are deeply involved in than a whole list of things as just a member or something. Hope you get into all of them!

really? but i hear a lot of ppl who got reject from LA and Berkeley with a perfect GPA but have poor EC.

Usually the 4.0 students that get rejected are international students. Last years avg gpa for biz econ was 3.86 so if you get rejected it’d be because of weak EC’s and/or essays.

it seems like ur a int’l student and/or english is ur 2nd language. ur cousin better have been a great writer and corrected all ur grammatical mistakes. stats are decent. for ucla u better have had TAP

well. i m not a int’l student but yes, english is my 2nd language. unfortunately, my college does not have TAP with LA… so… i applied as general transfer application

^45% chance to ucla
