Looking at Engineering, maybe Chemical, but not so certain on that.

My school doesn't offer many AP classes, which is why I am self-studying a lot of them. I have the ACT again with the school in april so the score might go up a little. Anything you guys think I should do to help out my application and how do you think I chance up with those schools next year?

Very impressive credentials!!! I would say you’re likely in at "Nova…

I know it does not mean much to say that your stats are much more impressive than mine were because I know a couple of people who were not accepted also had very intense profiles, but I’ll say it anyways lol.
Your stats are much, much more impressive than mine were (although due to financial aid I won’t be able to go), so you sound good to go!
A friend of mine exploring the same field as you and has similar stats was also accepted, as well.

What do you guys think is the weak spot that I should work on?

You don’t seem to have a weak spot.
I got in with WAAAAAY lower stats than yours.

i dont know about the other schools but you are gtg for nova

Yeah, not only do you seem well-rounded, but the fact that you self-studied in so many APs shows tremendous determination, especially alongside all of your other activities.
Just have stellar essays and recommendations, and I would HOPE that Nova would open their arms up to you.

Are you applying for any scholarships? You sound like a good candidate.

Your in. Just write good essays and show interest so they don’t think you’re using them as a fall back.

As a matter of fact, i’d send in a deposit now…Just follow the link in my profile, i’ll make sure it gets where it needs to be :)

whyorwhynot, I will apply for scholarships, but how hard are the scholarships to get? What do they look at the most?

qdogpa, haha. I’m visiting Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech in the middle of April and that will probably decide where I want to go. My guess is it will be between Vanderbilt and Villanova, but may come down to where I get more money from.

Everyone else, thanks for the responses. I see that essays and recs are important. I’ve got some teachers I know I want to do my recs and then I’ll just have to make sure I think of good essay topics in September or whenever.

Is there a place on the application to show the self-studies? And should I send the scores in as well? I got 5’s on both Chemistry and Calc bc so they may help, but I don’t know if Villanova looks at them for applications and/or scholarships…?

For Villanova, I know they offer the Presidential Scholarship ([Villanova University Presidential Scholarships](http://www.villanova.edu/artsci/college/academics/curf/presscholar/)).
My high school offered 50+ scholarships though (from our high school, middle schools, rotary, alumni, etc.), so I applied for those. Check to see if your high school guidance has any information about them.
