Chance me please!

Hey, I'm an Indian Male, living in Hong Kong (so International, won't be applying for financial aid) at a private secondary school. I'm applying to Harvard, Stanford, Chicago, Dartmouth, Brown & Duke. Intended Major is Economics, Minor is English Literature. Will these stats get me in any of those?

International (diversity - born in India, lived in Hong Kong, international schools; also paying full fees)

I'll chance anyone who wants it back :)

Hey,

I would say Harvard and Stanford are high reaches, Duke, Dartmouth and Chicago are medium reaches, and Brown is a low reach.

Just out of curiosity, which specific competitions are the Australian and British Maths competitions? Also, which school do you go to in Hong Kong?

This is a little difficult since your situation is drastically different, but I’d have to agree with JebarPolsky here. International status may well hurt as much as harm you, though.

Well you asked me to chance you, so I’ll do my best. Without a GPA I struggle to give good chances, but I can give a vague idea.

You’re applying to all amazing schools. It seems to me you have very high grades and you have an outstanding 2250 GPA. Also the fact that you live in Hong Kong could be of benefit, seeing as colleges love to promote diversity on their campuses. For the lower end of the schools you’re applying to, I’d say match, and for the very best like Harvard, low reach. Harvard can be a bit random with selections actually, and I know for a fact they especially like diversity (my dad went there), so you’ve got good chances.

Bump - can I have a few more chances please?

Hey man I agree with Jebar… But what major do you want to go into? I have ton more advice if you can tell me which one… P.S. PLease chance me…
