<p>Good ECs, mediocre GPA for this applicant pool, bad SAT I.
Work on SAT I instead of applying ED. You need to do significantly better to stand a real chance.</p>

<p>Yeah decent EC’s but your scores and grades are lacking greatly.
If you apply ED like this, you face an early rejection; instead, bring up the scores and apply RD for a better chance.</p>

<p>I think you have a pretty good GPA considering your course load, but that SAT score really does need to be brought up.</p>

<p>And don’t phrase your journalistic career as “Newspaper Club.” It sounds pedestrian and doesn’t quite rank up to the fact that many high school newspapers are classes and after-school activities.</p>
