Chance me please!!!

So I'm applying to NYU, Fordham, Pace, Columbia, and Brooklyn law. I have a 3.9 GPA and a 171 on my LSAT. I am half Irish and half Puerto Rican, so I don't think I'm a URM. I go to Marist College(no name). I don't have alot of EC's, but I work about 30-35 hrs a week, so I never was able to get involved in the clubs/organizations. What are my chances to get accepted to Fordham, NYU or Columbia???

You’d get into Fordham, and maybe for both NYU and Columbia but you have a good chance nevertheless.

Columbia: coin flip
NYU: pretty good shot
Fordham: in with $$$
You’d have full rides at Pace and Brooklyn, but don’t even bother applying. Their law schools aren’t worth it.

I’d recommend throwing an app at Harvard and Stanford.

Definitely apply to Cornell as well, as I’m sensing a New York bias in your choices.

I’d double-check if you’re URM or not-- because I’m pretty sure Puerto Rican is URM, even if only half. If you are indeed a URM, you’re an auto-admit at everywhere except YHS.

Puerto Rican is URM, and you have a very good chance at HLS.

Even have a slight chance at Yale if your essays and softs are quite nice. But pretty much in everywhere else.

What was your major?

My major was history, and thanks everybody for the feedback.

Apply to more T10s. Ditch everything below them.

Brooklyn Law is the laughing stock of the NYC legal community. With your stats, you can do MUCH better. I would only consider going there if it was for free.
