COMMENTS

I really appreciate anybody who read all of this! I can't believe there's so much! Then again, they're all pretty not important (the ECS). My mom always told me to focus on my studies, not on my ECS, should have listened to her...

I don't know where I'm likely to go to college, and I'm so stressed out!! I know I can get good grades my senior year (hopefully all As and maybe a B in Calculus?), and I regret so much from my junior year! (To all underclassmen: let me be a lesson to you!)

Thanks again for anybody who chances me! Please do!!

Great ECs and awards.

Assuming youre from CA, your chances at most of the UC schools are great.
Your chance at Stanford is really low, but I would still apply.
Boston is also going to be a reach. If you could pull up your CR, it would greatly improve your chances.

Good luck! :)

Thanks allenj5793! Do you think I’ll make UCSD??!! I know my chances of UCLA and UC Berkeley are slim, but how about UCSD?? And is Boston College really that hard to get into?? :frowning: Anyone else?? Please chance me!! I will chance back!!

ok, so I’m just going by what collegeboard says.
UCSD: yes, your SAT is pretty much right in their range.

And yes, I think Boston College is really that hard to get into. /: Its a reach, but I honestly think a strong essay could do you really well there. of course, I may be wrong, so to anyone reading this, what do you think?

Again, good luck! Especially in your SAT!

I first of all suggest you not go more than 4 recommendations… but that’s just me. your grades and standardized test scores aren’t bad at all! You have good ecs and have had held a job during high school… a pretty good accomplishment! Most people don’t think of taking up a job… lazy bums… haha! Good luck on your SATs. you’re probably going to get accepted to all… but a slim chance at stanford. But… who knows? Write really good essays and you’ll be fine (: Best of luck!

Thanks neurosurgery123! Your words were very encouraging. Yes, I’m only going to as many recommendations as required (1 counselor and 2 academic teachers). I’m only asking my English teacher/club advisor for rec letters for scholarships. I know I have a slim chance at Stanford; that’s why I switched my restricted early action decision there to early action at Boston College. I thought I had a higher chance of getting there. But, I hope I get in. If you apply to Boston early action, when do you get notified if you got rejected or accepted? Also, I’m really scared for my SATs. It’s this Saturday!! Good luck to all those taking it! And please chance me anyone else!! Thanks again! :)

I really think you have a good chance at UCSD, but UCLA might be a reach. Your ECs are outstanding compared to mine :x Your GPA is also much higher than the average admission rate of 4.01 (I believe) last year. Your SAT IIs are a bit low, but your SAT I is fine (though a 2100+ would be really beneficial for your application). Since you’re retaking both your SAT I’s and II’s, I wish you the best of luck! If you’re applying to UCSD, definitely put English as your major because they’ll accept you first before choosing your major so even if you don’t get in as an English major, you’ll get in undeclared.

Overall, UCSD would be a really close match for you, but with a higher SAT I score and higher SAT II scores I’m pretty sure (don’t quote me on this) that you should be fine :D

Thanks Noobosity! I didn’t get what you meant by applying to UCSD as an English major, though. I thought UCs didn’t really matter what you put as a major. Should I not go as an undecided then? Anyways, thanks for your comments. They were very encouraging! Anyone else, please?

C’mon, 203 views and only 8 chances?? Please, anybody?? I really want to know if I have chances at these colleges. I promise to chance back!!

I have the same frustration as you. The problem somtimes members didn’t read
carefully and render their opinion. If I were you , I would take it easy.
Anyway, I can’t chance youbecasue you failed to tell us where you live. It matters a lot if you live in california. Further, what your uc gpa ? UC only counts a-g 10th-11th grade. gpa
Don’t make assumption without knowing the fact.

Good luck

Uh thanks, uscdcc. I am a California resident, and my UC GPA is 3.72. But, I’m pretty sure I gave you enough information about my high school statistics; I just don’t want to give out too much information. So, any chances at the schools I listed?

Please Chance Me!! I’ll chance back!! Plus, I just received my October 2010 SAT scores… My score didn’t go up that much, and I’m really sad because this was my last chance. I got a 2060…

I decided not to apply to Stanford University after much consideration because I probably don’t stand a chance. I also am removing Claremont McKenna from my list because I don’t think I’ll fit well in a Liberal Arts, and I also don’t stand a chance. I visited the UCSD campus last Saturday, and it is now my first choice, though! It’s in such a beautiful area, and I love the campus so much! I highly recommend anyone interested in UCSD to visit the campus!! So, any chances for the remaining colleges? And (I don’t know if this makes a big difference), I got an acception letter from Drexel today. I probably won’t go though because it’s costly and really far from California. Chance me please!!!

bump, bump, bump! :)
