Right now I'm shooting for the upper UCs, namely berkeley, la, sd, but right now with my subpar gpa...I have a feeling it might not cut it. I also have applied to non-ivy privates like Duke, Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, UChicago, Rice, NYU, and USC...

Any ideas? Is my gpa bringing me down? Are my ECs strong enough to make up for this? Thanks (:

If you can afford schools like NYU and CMU, they may be your best bet. UCs are numbers driven, it’s rae for ECs to make up for anything.

Thanks so much – so is there no chance at all with the UC’s because of the gpa?
