Chance me please

Thinking about applying to OSU as my first-choice next fall.

I’m a junior; just finished the first quarter with a 3.8W, so I’m gonna use that as my junior GPA because I think that’s just about where it will be.

Well-known private college-prep Catholic school (St. Edwards in Lakewood, Ohio)

School doesn’t rank, but I’d hazard a guess around 50-60/215.

Freshman: 3 Honors (English I, Algebra II, Biology) 3.4W
Sophomore: 3 Honors (English II, Chemistry, Geometry) 3.6W
Junior: 2 Honors (English III, Pre-Calc), 1 AP (US History) 3.8W
I’ll be taking 3-4 AP classes senior year (BC Calculus, Govt., English IV, AP Biology), so first quarter should be around a 4.0+W.

Totals, including the first quarter of senior year, should be about 3.6+W GPA, ECs below, 8 Honors, 4-5 APs (only 1 if senior year is excluded).

ECs: Investment Club, 150 Service Hours, Film Society, Ambassador, Freshmen Mentor

ACT/SAT estimates: 30/2000 (I got a 22 out of 26 on a practice ACT, and got about 1900 in my SAT prep class, so I can boost that; I missed the PSAT).

What do you guys think?

You’ll definitely be fine. Rank is low, but Ohio State admissions will be very familiar with St Ed’s and take that into consideration. GPA and ACT are great.

O-H-I-O! Hope you get in, I think you should

…unless there’s a St. Ignatius alum sorting the apps…then yours might get lost.
Nah, you should be fine.
