Hey, I'm out of state and dying to get into USC!!

critical reading: 550 math: 620
1170/1600

average unweighted: 86.079
average weighted: 88.069

1 honors class 1 college level class

EC's: best buddies 2 years, key club 2 years, recycling club 2 years, served food at homeless shelter for 1 summer, volunteer at hospital the past 2 years, competitive dance 6 years, did walk for breast cancer awareness and i believe thats all.

I think you chances are very good. You are right below the average SAT, but well within the range and your GPA looks fine (I assume you’re from NY). I don’t think you will get an OOS scholarship, but I would say your shot at admission is a good one.

Yeah, I wasn’t expecting any scholarship, as long as I can get in! I’m interested in schools in the south east and I did a college survey and that was one of the results. I fell in love with it when I visited!

USC is also my #1. I am an out of state student with a 3.31 gpa, and sat scores that are below average, 1070/1600 and 1570/2400. What are the possibilities of me being admitted? I have a lot of extra curricular activites including sports, clubs, and a couple jobs under my belt. Also, I am a first generation college student, looking to begin a legacy.

How are my chances looking at becoming a Gamecock?

JLC128: 75% of students with your GPA got in. 85% of students with your SATs got in, so I’d say you have about an 80% chance of getting in (if you haven’t already. =D)

baseball4life: 55% of students with your GPA got in. (Mine is slightly higher and I got in early.) Just under 50% of students with your SAT got in… so I’d say you have about a 50/50 chance.
