<p>I'm trying to apply for either psychology or social work.
My stats are not that good, and haven't even written the essays yet.</p>
<p>GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.1 W
Class rank: 39/733 (top10%)
SAT: 2210 (CR:630 M:800 WR:780(essay 8))
I didn't take ACT and am not planning to take it.
I'm retaking SAT this saturday. I'm not sure if I'll be able to score higher.</p>
<p>I lived most of my life in korea and came to texas in the middle of my sophomore year.
I was ranked 4th when I went to high school in korea,
but since the grading system is whole lot different from here,
my GPA is low when all the grades from korea were combined with the grades i got here.
And I couldn't take any AP classes in my soph yr b/c I just came from Korea and didn't understand English that well and I had to take prerequisite courses(pre-ap classes) first.</p>

-Chemistry
and taking Dual English this year.</p>
<p>My ECs are reallyyy poor.
We don't really have ECs in Korean schools.</p>
<p>and here I only have
-2 yrs of NHS (junior-senior)
-Photo Staff (Senior year), i have won an award this year, and am expecting to won more awards soon.
-Mission trip in jr yr for 9days.</p>
<p>and I don't really write good essays, but I'll do my best on my collge essay.
Is there any chance that my chances will depend on which major I'm applying?</p>
