Chance me, please?

The State Senator I volunteered for is also writing me a letter of recommendation.

What are my chances of getting into Brown?

Thanks!

Weak test scores and generally unimpressive ECs. Unlikely, but far from impossible.

Race? If white or asian, I wouldn’t count on it. Hispanic, Black or Native American and you may stand a chance.

I think you guys are being too harsh. With a great essay I think you stand at least a chance. I’m not going to say so far as you’re definitely in because you’re not even close, but I think you definitely have a chance.

All of his sections on the SAT are 700+, he’s still a competitive applicant.

Although you are on the lower end, that will certainly not “break” your application. If Brown really likes your personal qualities (i.e. recommendations and essays), you could definitely get in.

SAT IIs are low.
