<p>So I'm worried about getting into college and I need to know your thoughts on my chances. I am very interested in USC but I also have a few other schools that are at the top of my list:
-Penn
-NYU
-Dartmouth
-USC
-UCB
-UCLA
-UCD
-Boston college
-Boston University
-Michigan
-Duke
-Brown
-Williams
-Vanderbilt
-Washington</p>

<p>In terms on numbers my gpa is a 3.95 (I've gotten all As my junior and senior year). I take the IB with predicted a 39/42 (40/45) My gpa is really solid but where I lack is my standardized testing. I got a 1950 on the SAT. I got a solid 770 in math but a 550 in critical reading (my downfall) and 630 Writing. This is definitely my low point on my application.I have also gotten 750 Chem and 790 for Maths II.
(still waiting for my ACT results) </p>

<p>I have solid supplements and a really good school charity trip to India common application essay
In terms of extra cuticulars I am involved in a lot of charity work and sports.
school prefect, peer counsellor, house committee, PPE society member, Duke of Edinburgh, Amnesty Society, Lead tenor in school choir...etc</p>

<p>I will be majoring in economics or PPE.
I am from Hong Kong, chinese (international applicant) but studying in a top UK IB school (with over 10-45 pointers in last year's graduating class)
So what is my shot of USC? And the other schools I named? THANKS</p>

<p>I think you have a decent shot at USC seeing as they seem to take more internationals than other colleges, but I’d still say: low reach. Just because of the low scores/no stand-out ECs. I think all of those are reaches for you besides BU and UCD which are matches.</p>

<p>And what is Washington? Washu in St. Louis? Or University of Washington?</p>

<p>SAT scores are a bit low for many of those schools.
USC is tough and your score for USC should be in the 2000+ range.
UC’s may admit you because they need your full pay dollars.</p>
