Your GPA is on par with the school; however, your SAT scores are below average. What’s your score out of 1600?

i got an 1120

As of last year’s class, the bottom 25% of SAT scores was 1250, so you’re very much below that point. It’s definitely a reach. And if you’re applying for the business school, then it would be even more difficult.

you wont get in business defiently, need a 1300 combined math and reading. but im positive you will get in the school and im pretty sure you will get invited to scholars. its a good program i do. defiently pick B.S.E its the best by far in it

Ur gpa great ur SATs are on the low side for UMD but everything else is great so goodluck could u chance me back please

^
I think scholars is pretty much out of the question. The middle 50% of SAT scores for scholars is 1300-1410.

My pet peeve:
quote
[/quote]

Everyone states this, but the reality is the admissions office determines what a “tough” hs is according to their standards.

You may attend the number 1 hs in your state, but are they on the USNWR, Time, or Money top 100 hs’s in the nation?

Did you take the most rigorous course load they offered, or did you play it safe with a sprinkling of AP and honors?

I am not trying to attack you, I am trying to make posters understand that there is a lot that goes into the decision making process, and to say tough hs, is one thing. To say top 10 in the state is another.
