^bump…

i think u r a match for rutgers

I think you have a very good shot. The shadowing a dentist is pretty unique. Maybe consider looking at RPI (harder to get into than Rutgers) and Drew University (easier to get into but from what I’ve heard they have a pretty decent science program).

I had similar SAT scores and I got in to both Rensselaer and Rutgers. I will be going to Rutgers this fall, mostly because the instate tuition is $30,000 less per than RPI. I did have a lot of leadership though and I performed well in my sport (swimming), so that might have given me a slight advantage for being accepted to RPI. I’d try to bring up your GPA and SATs; a 1300 would be impressive. Also, if you’re in NY, being accepted to Rutgers will be much easier since they’re always looking for out of state students (I think around 90% of the undergrads are in-state). Go for RPI (if you have the money), but use Rutgers as a safety.

THANKS raravis and iff2mastamatt!

If you are in NY, I’d try SUNY Stony Brook. It’s great for the sciences and will cost you a lot less than other state’s universities.

yea stony brook is my #1 choice but hey thanks for ur input mamajay!
