Chance me PLEASSEEE!

Now that I have your attention...
I am a rising senior from New Jersey. As of right now I am confused if I want to pursue a career in Buisness/Econonomics or Physics/Astronomy.
As you will see my resume is more physics and astronomy based, but after my junior year and taking AP Economics, the buisness world has started to look like an option for me.

PHEWWW. Now that that's done, some quick notes. Our school is very competivive, and last year we had 17 seniors go to ivy's. Over 40+ studens were accepted to Boston Univeristy and Carnegie Mellon (which I am applying to as well).
Anyway some of my weaknesses I think are I have absolutely no awards, and I think I am lacking community hours.

Again, thanks for reading all of this, and PLEASEEEE chance me.

BU looks like a good match for you.
NYU might be a little harder for you to get into, but it's definitely worth a shot.

UMich and Carnegie Mellon are definitely a bit of a stretch, but with a good essay, you could pull it off.

Good luck with your apps.

Sweet. Yea i'm hoping that by the end of the summer my SAT scores go up to around 2200 which should improve my chances.
And also I know I have 2 very good reccs (1 from my econ teacher, the other from my Mentor/Professor)

Also I forgot to add this but do you think applying to Intels/Siemens will help in Early decision/action? And even regular decision?

btw thanks for chancing Ahsieh

I'm sure that by making it clear which branches of the college you're aiming for, it can only help, for ED/EA/Regular - it'll show you did your research about the school and know what you want to do in the future.
Buffing your SATs will help your chances significantly for the reach schools, but you're already qualified for most of the match schools.
I have a friend who is currently attending UMich(AA) who scored a 2100 on the SATS, so around a 2200 would be a good spot to be.
The recs will definitely help, as long as the teachers know you very well and can basically bring your application to life.

Chance me and I'll chance YOU!

i wouldn't call NYU a match, more of a reach. but, your list is looking well-balanced. i'm noticing that more with this year's class than last year's who was all about the ivies and top LACs. so unrealistic.

If I had to apply early decision which one would u guys reccommend:
Carnegie Mellon
Michigan Ann Arbor
NYU

Also is UC Berkeley a bigger reach than all three or in the range?

which school do you like best? that's the one to choose for ED. we can't help you there.

and yes, i would say UCB is a farther stretch. michigan comes close, though.

BU and Syracuse are good matches =)

I think NYU will be tough, they usually like to accept people in the top 10 percent of their school.

Chance me as well please!
