<p>my SAT1 1770. (i know its horrible, it was my first time taking the SAT, and Im planning on taking it again in October, senior yr.)
ACT: 29. (first time too, did way better than SAT :>)
SAT2 math: 800
chinese: 800</p>

<p>EC: work experience: 8 hrs/week >>1yr. and will continue in senior yr.
clubs: world vision. secretary 1yr
math club. VP 3yr
art club 2yr
mock trial 1yr qualified for state this yr. :D

I was participated in a lot of math competitions and got several awards for both school (as a group) and individual. Also have some random awards for art. Not sure if those could help me in college admission tho...</p>

<p>Hey I heard this from a senior last year, but the public universities in California are having a major economic recession. So it’s a lot easier for students to get in, particularly those applying out of state. I think you have a good chance at the top UC’s. You should apply to UC San Diego, Berkeley, UCLA, and Stanford (although that’s private). You can definitely get into NYU if you raise your SAT score to 1900+. If you want to get into the top UC’s, you should get your score up to 2200+. Also, make sure you apply to “safety” schools.</p>
