I am now a Junior in high school. I have not been doing my best in High School academics wise, so my grades are pretty low. My transcript is full of "C"c and "B"s.

I currently have a 2.3 UW, and by Senior Year I see myself graduating with approximately 2.5-ish GPA.

I take all AP and Honors classes. (My school has an excellent AP program).

I am doing better this year, so hopefully I will have an upward trend that colleges like to see.

I may participate in some kind of sport (tennis or indoor track)

Now if I score well on the SAT, (BTW what would be considered good?) maybe it will compensate. Maybe if I score a 1800+?

I have volunteer experience at a Church, I helped with campaigning in my city elections as well as for a Board candidate. I am also planning on doing some in my local hospital.

I have about 40 hours so far; aiming for 75+ by graduation.

I am a minority, I have lived outside the country at a young age. I am bi-lingual.

Will any of that help me compensate for my sub-par GPA? I really, really, don't want to go to CC for two years.

Any universities in or near Maryland with guaranteed Admissions programs or similar?

I want to apply to these schools, please chance me on each:

Frostburg State University
Penn State
UMBC
Fordham University

And also side-question: How reliable is college ******* in college admission chances? Its telling my I have a pretty good shot in several schools...

Anyone?

Also I am a member of several school clubs (Vice President of one club) and I participated in the Summer Model UN cluub in 2009.
