hey I'm a senior high school student (of DPS Vasant Kunj) who is aspiring for top universities for computer science engineering. My scores and ECs are as follows:

SAT Math-2 : 800
SAT Physics : 780
AP Calculus BC : 5
AP Physics C:Mechanics : 5
AP Chemistry : 5

Internships at two well reputed engineering colleges ( JNU and DU, Miranda House) in my state where i received training in nanotechnology and an insight into research and development ( BTW these science camps were held only for the top 1% students in the entire country)

Internship at ICICI bank, where i learned about the stock market, the everyday work of people involved in banking , loans, ... the works.

Languages known: French ( 7yrs), Hindi (fluent), English( fluent), Japanese( 1yr)
Member of environment council.
Received gold medal for proficiency in academics for seven consecutive years in my school.
Received proficiency in computer science programming, for being the best in my school (out of a total of 150 comp. programming students) in 11th grade.

Community service: 100hrs I will NOT require financial aid
Although i haven't given the sat yet and I cant predict my score until i actually give it, i expect to score at least around 2000,(possibly even more - around 2100)

Please chance me for the following universities realistically and i will chance u back

you have a nice chance of getting into Princeton, UCB, UPenn and Columbia if you manage a 2200+ on ur SATs, around 70% at 2000. Chances are you will get into CMU, UMich and UCLA, around 90% with a 2000 in ur SATs. You are definitely getting into BU and Purdue.

Yes I agree with hawk1410…a definite yes to BU and Purdue. CMU, Umich and UCLA should be a match. UCB should be a low reach while Columbia and Princeton are high reaches

If you have an sat higher than 2200, I am very sure you will qualify for all of the schools mentioned. Additionally, since you don’t need aid, that will make the process much easier.

UCB

CMU

Purdue

UCLA

UMich

Boston University

These. Your full pay status helps here.
You’d be in at Purdue and BU.
UCLA- middish…
the other three are reaches.

I don’t think it looks good for the rest. Very little ECs. Understandable since you have a great cgpa and 11th score (commendable…I know dps VK makes insane papers), but lack of ECs shall totally injure you for them. JMHO. Good luck!

PS: Why don’t you also add Goergia Tech to your list? :)

UCB is a low reach if you get anywhere close to 2150, and a high reach if you’re anywhere around 2000 taking into account that you’re not in state and 90% of the class is from within California.
As for CMU, it depends largely on whether you’re applying to CIT or SCS.
Princeton, Columbia and Penn are super reaches for anyone so you’ll need something to jump out of the page in order to have a more than decent chance.
Although UMich stiffened up it’s admit rate a bit this year, I think you should get in with those stats. Purdue and UCLA would be shoo ins imho.
It’s understandable that you’re after the Ivy tag with Penn, Columbia and Princeton even though their Engineering programs aren’t strong, but I wonder why BU’s still on the list when GeorgiaTech and Cornell, another Ivy, couldn’t make it with far stronger Engineering programs.
