please tell me honestly

I can’t tell your chances because I don’t know how rigorous your school is, whether you’re in the US or International, etc. But I can give you some good advice. UMich is exceedingly expensive to attend for out-of-state students, and even more so (less aid) for internationals. Now and again, one can get a great package and STILL be $15,000 or more short.

Considering your family financial circumstances, please treat Michigan like a “financial” reach and be sure to apply to some great but possibly lesser-ranked schools and privates that might give you a FULL FULL ride… There’s rarely a “full” ride available at Michigan, because it is a public school, and just about ALL the students have similar outstanding stats and accomplishments.

Then, you will have many options from which to choose wisely!

my school is very rigorous. was in top 25 hs in nation. the average gpa or good enough gpa is considered to be 99. although my class offers many AP classes, I have only taken advantage of 3 plus a non AP but a college course in foreign language. graduating class is 285 with no rank

oh and my mom is willing to send me no matter what so money will not matter

How considerate sarcasm. Your family makes $25k a year and you are saying money will not matter since your mom is willing to take the burden…

Also top 25 high school in the nation is top 25 PUBLIC high school in the nation. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to assume that many Private highschools would outrank the top Public schools.

that’s true but my school does have a reputation so they will know about my school. and she will make efforts to let me go there

You have posted this same “Chance me - TOP CHOICE” thread on seven different schools’ forums, including some very expensive private schools and two different states’ schools – if your school is really one of the best 25 public high schools in the country, your GPA and your ACT scores don’t really match, so you won’t fit into the typical profile and your chances at any of these are impossible to predict. Also, most of these will not give full financial aid, so even if your mom is willing to send you anywhere, can she really afford to if she is supporting four other people on 25k/yr? You might want to have the Talk with her about where she realistically can and cannot afford to send you depending on the financial aid available at each of these seven schools. It would suck to get your hopes up for any/all of them and then not be able to go, especially if you aren’t also looking at “safety” schools.

yeah I didn’t mean that all are top choices. I just copy and pasted it so I wouldn’t have to retype everything. and sure I’m doing some safety’s like suny and cunys but all I wanted to know was my chance at these schools.

If you are in NY you do have some good financial safeties then.
If your school is well ranked then you do have a decent chance.

But please do consider the financial aspects. Your mom may wish with all her heart to send you to Umich, but the OOS COA this year is $52,000 - twice your family’s gross income. Without a miracle, that is a crippling cost, and any kind of loans available are not discharge-able in bankruptcy and would be crippling to repay. Umich is great, but no school is worth financially crippling a family forever!

As Long as you’ve cast a wide net, you’ll have options, so no worries, but do treat umich as
a financial reach.
