I am an international student. This year I'm applying in US colleges but I'm little concerned about my list of colleges. I have 1820 on SAT 1 ( 510 CR/780 M/540 W) and 660 on Physics, 780 on Math 1, 760 on Math 2.
I have also some awards in soccer/ volleyball/ dance competitions/ Math Olympiads and summer work as a cashier and volunteering. My GPA in my country is in the top 5% of all students average GPA. My class rank is 2nd.
The list:
Vanderbilt University
Boston University
Drexel University
Clarkson University
Temple University
WPI
University of San Francisco
University of Florida
Northeastern University
SUNNY Stony Brook
Baylor University
The list is not definite I might clear any university since the deadline is 15 January.
Please advice needed!

Your odds at Vanderbilt and Northeastern would depend on how good those Math Olympiad awards are - if it’s national qualification, you have a chance, otherwise, they’re high reaches.
The rest is all within reach, the issue will be financial aid.

Are you Baptist? If not, I would remove Baylor (very conservative, religious, Baptist school - excellent academics but probably not a good choice for a non-Baptist, just like BYU is a great school, just difficult to live in if you’re not Mormon or from another Christian faith).

Are you being recruited for soccer or volleyball at the D3 schools? Have you filled out the “prospective recruit” questionnaire? If you haven’t already, fill those out (on the "Athletics’ page for each college, Division 3 only)

Math Olympiads: apply to any among Union, Gettysburg, Lafayette, Lehigh, Clarkson, RPI, RIT, WPI, Stevens, NJIT, NYIT.

If you like University of San Francisco because it’s in San Francisco, apply to St Mary’s of California and Mills.

If you like USan Francisco because it’s a Catholic university on the West Coast, look into USeattle, UPortland, USan Diego, Loyola Marymount in LA, Santa Clara, Gonzaga.

If you like Northeastern and Drexel for their co-op, apply to Univercity of Cincinnati.

If you like SUNY Stony Brook, apply to SUNY Geneseo and SUNY New Paltz. You’d qualify for a scholarship at CUNY CSI and SUNY Westbury but you would probably get into Suny Geneseo which is one of the “nicest” SUNY’s for international students.

To chance you, we’d need to know whether you applied for financial aid or not - this would impact your odds considerably at the schools that offer it.

Thank you very much for your info.
Can you please suggest me any college that I could qualify with aid? I am very messed up.
I know my SAT 1 scores aren’t good because we don’t have a strong English program in our school and I haven’t done any special course to learn SAT.

Stop thinking about your SAT scores. They’re not Ivy-League quality but they’re not disastrous for an international either - if you really worry about them, register for the Jan 25 session and practice on number2.com (it’s free).
Fill out those “prospective recruit” questionnaires for soccer and volleyball TODAY.
You’d probably have good odds of financial aid at Mills, SUNY Westbury, Union, Gettysburg, Lafayette, Lehigh, Clarkson, RIT, WPI, Stevens, and NYIT. If you get into Vanderbilt it’d be with financial aid, too. Probably the same for Northeastern. Perhaps a little at USanFrancisco. It all depends on how much you need.
