I’m not planning on applying to a CSU do you think thats a bad idea? I mainly want to go to UCLA UCB and Caltech. I dont really want to go to the others…
UC capped weighted cannot be any higher than a 4.33, so I would assume you have 4.33 capped weighted and 4.73 fully weighted?
You look like a competitive applicant for all the schools. Cal Tech is a Reach for all applicants, but you should several schools to choose from come Spring.
No one is a shoe-in for UCLA or UCB, but I think you’re pretty close. Your stats as well as subjective info all looks really strong and well within their ranges. I think you have a very good chance. Good luck
I mean, you’re in the top 9%, and you’re a CA resident, AND you’re an URM. While your major is definitely crowded, I think you have a great shot. Where else are you applying?
These are the only schools I’m applying to and I was wondering if that was a mistake. Also, I guess I’m kinda confused on how to calculate a capped weighted GPA. My classes 10th grade were PreCalc/Trigonometry Honors, English Honors, Chemistry Honors, AP Biology, AP World History, and Spanish 3. My 11th grade classes were AP Chemistry, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, AP English Language, and AP US History. Can you clarify how to correctly calculate the UC GPA?
