chance me plz and advise!!

<p>hi,
its my dream to get into rice and am gonna try this spring for it......advise me on my profile and if possible look in the college to find any examples:
Asian male.
immigrated 1.5 yrs ago from Pakistan.
transfer from a community college in texas (current 3.9 GPA)(few honor credits)(only student in college involved in research work and might even publish a paper with my name in it)(quite a lot volunteer/ extra curricular work)
international high school ( top 5% )
4.0 GPA in high school
During high school:
Fund raiser for WHO (World Health Org...certificate present)
Fund Raiser for WWF (World Wildlife Fed....cert present)
Fine arts student for 5 yrs (held successful exhibitions....a few paintings present for proof), etc
Advanced level diploma (chem, phy, math, additional math) from University of Cambridge (England)(4.0 GPA)
Multilingual: English, Urdu, Arabic, Farsi, Hindi, Punjabi
SAT:
Writing: 720
Reading: 580
Math: 740</p>

<p>plz tell me if i should even BOTHER to apply at Rice??? given my situation, do i have any chance???</p>

<p>You should always bother to apply at Rice if you want to go here, regardless of your chances. I’m personally opposed to chances threads, so I’m not going to merit it with any response other than that.</p>

<p>Rice does not accept international transfer students in the spring semester. But I don’t know if that applies to foreign students currently attending US schools..</p>

<p>You’re not going to lose anything if you apply. I thought I had a 1% chance of getting in, and a few weeks later, I got an acceptance letter…</p>
